The last thing anyone visiting here needs to read is some frivolously superficial post. I can honestly say the continuing motivation for these published efforts, if not my entire career itself, is to offer a stark contrast to the dominant narrative and its unending stream of vacuous content. That all said, let's make one point very clear. For all the efforts to engage readers with thoroughly researched, well-considered information, when it comes time for a booking I am still just some guy with scissors. Even with decades of experience and the countless recommendations that I am very grateful for, a client is still probably going to be a little anxious when they get here. Many have said they are excited and optimistic, but anytime someone you don't know is going to cut your hair for the first time, nerves are likely a bit unsettled.
With all of this firmly planted in my mind, I absolutely take the responsibility for my task rather seriously. That's not to say that once the consultation has concluded and we both have confidence in each other and what needs to happen, things remain unusually serious for the entire booking. Quite the contrary, I definitely like to ensure the experience here is a positive one, both in terms of the actual work being performed, but also in the manner that we interact. That said, do I go out of my way to make sure the experience here is super fun and entertaining? Certainly not. Do clients and I often have a laugh together? Yes, we do. In that way, I'm again grateful those who I tend to attract seem to view the world we live in through a similar lens and enjoy spirited conversation covering a wide array of topics.
The way I present here and in the studio is meant to resonate soundly with a specific sort of individual. These deliberate efforts help ensure a client's experience and overall contentment matches their hopes and expectations. Like the dancer featured in the photo above, the desired results here take serious discipline and a critical perspective in order to deliver an exceptional performance consistently. In my mind, that is what a client deserves. Well, that and seriously good hair.
