As a cutting specialist for individuals with challenging hair textures and situations, how I present online is essential. Many prospective clients arrive here with varying degrees of dissatisfaction from prior experiences getting a haircut. They are likely here hoping to discover something that can provide confidence before trying, yet again, to have another person take scissors to their head. For some, I offer their last hope for happiness. Finding a specialist who cares is often the primary characteristic many seek.
To that end, if the primary content of this site contained the same trite marketing copy or carefully curated photographs that are readily available out there, it really wouldn’t be helping my target demographic. It also wouldn’t match up with my core principles. When it comes to the Insights articles, the same holds true. The last thing anyone visiting here needs to read is some frivolous clickbait post that offers no real value.
"Indeed, the continuing motivation for these published efforts, if not my entire career, is to offer a stark contrast to the dominant narrative and its unending stream of redundant content."
Indeed, the continuing motivation for these published efforts, if not my entire career, is to offer a stark contrast to standard hair salons. That all said, despite the efforts to engage readers with well-considered information, I am still just some guy with scissors. Even with decades of experience and countless positive reviews, clients often arrive in the studio anxiously. Many have said they are excited and optimistic, but anytime someone is going to cut your hair for the first time, nerves are likely unsettled.
Ultimately, it doesn’t really matter that I’ve successfully cut hair for over 30 years in multiple countries. Yes, that experience provides some comfort to clients, but it doesn’t mean I can or should ever lose focus. Quite the opposite is true. Every client who arrives here expects and deserves my best. Knowing that I care about client satisfaction is what so many are looking for. Without a doubt, this is definitely something to take seriously.
